The model and entrepreneur gets her vintage finds from Rellik, loves a hot date at Kettner’s and is Churchillian about her bath time

Home is…

Highbury Fields with my daughter, Romy, eight, and my boyfriend, Tim Wheeler. We moved here from New York just a couple of months ago and are enjoying discovering all the neighbourhood has
to offer.

What shops do you rely on?

I love all my local foodie shops — Da Mario, the Italian grocery with the best home-made pasta, La Fromagerie for the best cheeses and Bourne’s the fishmongers. All the ingredients to make a gorgeous dinner. My go-to is spaghetti alle vongole. For fashion I love Rellik — they always have the best vintage finds — and the beauty department at Selfridges..

Where would you recommend for a first date?

I love Kettner’s. Great drinks and the cutest small and sexy bedrooms upstairs in case it’s a very good first date!

What would you do if you were Mayor for the day?

I miss live music so much, so I’d organise a giant free music festival all over London. [We’d] take over The Mall and St James’s Park, all the way up to Hyde Park with stages and live music everywhere.

What’s the best meal
you’ve had?

An amazing romantic meal at J Sheekey with my boyfriend. We basically ordered the whole menu and a huge oyster platter and had to eat it all on time to finish before the 10pm curfew!

Where do you go to let your hair down?

Well with all the restrictions and curfew, I haven’t had much opportunity besides having dance parties at
home with my daughter and boyfriend. But I have been told about a new French place called Louie. It’s from the former Director of Food & Beverage from Chiltern Firehouse and he knows how to have a party.

What is your London secret?

The Horniman Museum in Forest Hill. There are acres of grounds with views spanning the whole city, plus an amazing children’s museum and aquarium.

What’s your biggest extravagance?

Recently, a romantic getaway at Calcot Manor. On a daily basis, a two-hour bath with a glass of wine and Coco de Mer candles burning.

What’s the best thing a cabbie has ever said to you?

They can never tell where I’m from because I have a weird American-French accent. I’ll have to throw in some cockney rhyming slang next time to totally confuse them.

What are you up to at the moment for work?

I am working on developing my new website, Less is More, which aims to promote a more sustainable lifestyle while remaining glamorous and being able to indulge
in fashion.

Who is the most iconic Londoner in history?

Winston Churchill and Princess Margaret. Both were scrutinised, and had so much responsibility towards their countries, although were both quite rebellious and rock ’n’ roll.
I, like Churchill, deal with all my morning correspondence from the bath!

Princess Margaret

Who is your hero?

My mum [Carine Roitfeld]. She’s so passionate about fashion and never gets bored of it. She’s still as excited about it as she was as a teenager.
