Marianne Cotterill rounds up the cosiest wool interiors around just in time for winter
As the nights draw in, we are rapidly approaching the season to embrace all things woolly, from blankets to slippers to cushions. It’s also Wool Week which gives us an extra reason to celebrate knits with wit. There are many reasons to love this humble yarn — it’s natural, renewable, sustainable, flame retardant and biodegradable.
Not to mention a highly effective insulator (just ask a sheep), which makes it a dead cert for cosy upholstery. My personal essential? A woollen tea cosy to pop over my pot. As I am useless at knitting I bought one from Plumo, and it keeps my brew pleasingly hot.
